Beyond my work in academia, I pursue opportunities to intersect my research with public service.

I am particularly passionate about advancing the public understanding of religious and cultural diversity.

I serve on the board of the Institute for Diversity and Civic Life (IDCL) where I help support research initiatives and public scholarship. Most recently, I helped IDCL develop their “Oral History for Social Change” training and certificate program.

During the 2020 election season, I supported the work of Fresh Off the Vote, elevating the diverse voices of Asian American Gen-Zillennials.

It is particularly gratifying to bridge the academic and civic spaces in this capacity.
